Which islands does this plan cover?

O'ahu, Maui, Kaua'i and the Big Island, plus anywhere else in the state where the host networks reach. Coverage on Moloka'i and Lana'i is thinner and mostly limited to the main towns.

Does the FairSIM USA plan work in Hawaii?

Yes. Hawaii is a US state and the USA plan covers it on the same networks. Choose the USA plan if your trip includes the mainland, and this one if you are staying in the islands.

Which network will my phone use?

One of AT&T Mobility, T-Mobile USA or Verizon, all marked 5G. Your phone picks a partner network automatically. You cannot choose it manually.

Do I need a new plan for each island flight?

No. Inter-island flights are domestic. Leave data roaming on for the FairSIM line and your phone reconnects a minute or two after you land.

Will I have signal on the Road to Hana or in the national parks?

Not the whole way. Download offline maps for Maui and the Big Island before you set out, and save your park reservation QR codes to your phone.

How much data do I need for a week in Hawaii?

Around 5 GB covers maps, rideshare, messaging and photo uploads. Go to 10 GB or more if you stream, work or post video every day.

Can I make phone calls with it?

This is a data-only eSIM, so there is no local number. Use WhatsApp, FaceTime or Google Voice for calls. Emergency calls to 911 go through on your phone's normal dialer.

Does it work on a boat or helicopter tour?

Close to shore, often yes. Further out you will drop off the network, since no eSIM covers open water.

What is an eSIM?

A SIM card built into your phone. Instead of a plastic chip, you download a profile. Every iPhone since the XS has one next to the physical SIM slot, so your home number stays put while FairSIM supplies the data.

Is my phone compatible?

FairSIM works with eSIM-compatible, carrier-unlocked iPhones: the XS, XR and everything newer, on iOS 17.4 or later for the one-tap install with no QR code. iPhones bought in mainland China do not support eSIM at all, even when unlocked. When should I install my eSIM?

Before you travel, while you still have Wi-Fi. Installing does not start your plan; the validity typically starts when the eSIM first connects to a network at your destination.

Do FairSIM eSIMs come with a phone number?

No. FairSIM eSIMs are data-only by design, which keeps costs low. For calls and texts, your physical SIM stays active so you keep your existing number, and WhatsApp, FaceTime and iMessage work over data.
