Can you rely on free Wi-Fi?
Hamad Airport, the malls, the metro stations and hotels all have free Wi-Fi, and it is fast. It will not help with calls, because internet calling is blocked on Qatari Wi-Fi as much as on local SIMs. For a video call home, switch to the FairSIM line.
